I started designing this neckwarmer in the fall of 2020. I wanted something to wear around my neck, with a fun stitch pattern. I love scarves, but sometimes I just want to put something on that blocks out wind without being too warm.

This neckwarmer is light and airy, but keeps your neck from getting chilly. It’s great to wear when I get groceries, or just to do yardwork. It knits up very quickly on circular needles.

The diamond lace pattern is something I’ve been playing around with for a while. I had made a similar diamond lace stitch pattern a few years ago, but I never liked the way the piece rolled up on the edges. I’ve resolved this problem by only using the lace pattern on part of the neckwarmer, instead of all over it.

The result is a fun and simple cowl that will become a staple in your fall/winter wardrobe.
