It is that time again, when you sit outside at night, waiting in anticipation for it to get dark enough, for the booming sounds, and then the colorful lights. Yes, fireworks.

Ever since I was little I’ve been entranced by fireworks. I cried once when we left early before seeing the whole display. And I was in middle school.

In Missouri, we would go to my mom’s uncle’s farm, and they’d set off the fireworks in the cow pasture. Such a different experience from the mass fireworks display I attend now in town. More personal somehow.

But no matter where I see them, or what age, it’s always magical to see them. Cause they surprise me. You don’t know what’s coming, and can’t know what will happen.

And you know that one day, every year, there will be fireworks. Oh yes.

Hope you are having a great holiday, filled with your own fireworks. And I hope you see the magic that I see.
