This week has been very busy. But in a good way. School has started again, and we’re all waking up earlier than usual. I’m getting out of work earlier because of it. Which means more time for all the other things in my life that vie for my attention. I haven’t done much blogging this week, but don’t worry, I have tons of ideas for more posts to come.
Last Monday was Labor Day, and this past weekend was a long one. I was able to catch up with many of my friends, and really relax. I sometimes feel that with all the things we do each day it’s hard to just sit and enjoy someone’s company without being rushed for time. This weekend time was for once on my side.
But because of the holiday I’ve procrastinated a bit in figuring out what I want to post here this week. Here goes…
Maroon 5 released their new album V this past Tuesday, and I have to say I’m in love with it. It’s a gorgeous set of songs. Very true to their sound and something that you’ll be singing along with once you start hearing more of them on the radio. My favorite songs are “Maps” and “It Was Always You.”
Last week I came across a video someone shared where Tom Brady was in a store and they made fun of him for having a New England accent. It was pretty funny. I loved it actually. I’d be remiss if I didn’t also share it with you. You can find it here.
The season opener is this Sunday at 1 pm, and I will hopefully be watching and knitting.
When I was younger I was never into watching football. But over the years, after I got married, I somehow got roped into watching it at some point. This was also around the time that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady became part of the Patriots scene. And then I was hooked. I was so excited to watch the Patriots play, because I finally knew the players and I liked them generally as people. And they seemed to know what they were doing on the football field. Winning superbowls was great.
I’ve been watching the new Doctor Who and it’s pretty good. I have to say I’m a bit intrigued at some of the hints they’re leaving in each episode for things to come. And who is Missy? It would not surprise me if she ended up being a lost lady timelord. Possibly the Rani? We can only dream.
Instead of the usual Benedict Cumberbatch photo, I am instead sharing this fabulous sign I found on Pinterest.
