Last fall, we had a snowstorm while the autumn leaves were still on the ground. It was a beautiful sight. The colorful leaves peaked out from the blanket of snow, small jewels of color. I knew at that moment that I wanted to capture this color palette in a new hat pattern.
I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to do it, until I came across a technique that created a stained-glass effect using slipped stitches. And that is how this hat was born.
It looks very complicated, but really isn’t. There are a lot of working parts within this hat, but it all comes together rather seamlessly.
The pattern is now available for $6.00 on Ravelry here. For non-Ravelry members, you can purchase the pattern here: buy here
