I am intrigued by things I cannot see, things that cannot be proven. The mysterious beguiles me. I can’t say that I’ve ever had a ghostly experience, but I am interested in them nonetheless. I watched the show “Paranormal State” on A&E yesterday and started thinking about ghosts, and how they could exist, but there never seems to be any reliable proof.With all the TV shows about ghosts out there, I can’t think of a single one that’s shown a decent image of a ghost on film. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. It just means we haven’t been able to capture them yet. I doubt any of them will ever find solid evidence of a ghost. It would be like someone finding the Loch Ness Monster. Or Sasquatch.

Everyone always refers to ghosts as if they are always from the past, people who have died. But what if ghosts weren’t always from the past? What if they were from the future too? I’m not sure how this would happen, or why. But think about it. If time is happening all at once, our past, present and future, and they can somehow collide on a single plane of existence, then technically you could see both future and past images of people, which could appear in our world as ghosts, or apparitions. Blurry visions of things that we cannot make sense of.

I know it’s a bit farfetched, but so is this topic. I want to say I believe there are ghosts in this world. I have no experiences that would lead me to believe this, but I just have a feeling that something exists. Like footsteps in sand, each person leaves an imprint on this earth, no matter how small. And over time, that imprint may fade away and no longer stand out as it did. But it’s still there. The earth still remembers. And it will always exist, in that spot, till the ends of time.

I think that we can change things by using our energy to make something happen. Whether we use our energy in a positive or negative way makes a difference in the imprint we leave. Maybe ghosts are just balls of negative energy that have accumulated in a certain spot over time.

I like to think that positive energy also accumulates and does wondrous things. The more positive energy we put forth in our lives, the better the world will be, and it will bring about more positive things. Have you ever thought about something, and then had that exact thing happen? I believe this is because of positive energy working in our favor.

It’s kind of like karma. If you do good things, good things will happen.

While I’m thinking about it, you never hear about the good ghosts, just the bad ones. I’m sure there are good one out there. Maybe they’re so good they just don’t want to disturb us, and so they keep themselves hidden away, silently watching us but only interfering in ways that help us.

I’d love to hear about your experiences, if you’ve had any, with ghosts or the supernatural. I wish I could offer some but the closest I ever came to seeing a ghost was when I was in the fourth grade and I thought I saw a hand outside my second floor window. It was probably just my imagination, but I was pretty scared at the time. Who knows, maybe it was a real ghost hand, trying to get me. I’ll never know.
