I made this hat a while ago for a dear friend, who loves to walk in the woods. It’s one of my own favorite pasttimes too. I made notes so I could recreate it, but the math didn’t seem to line up. I also wanted to use the original hunter’s rib stitch for the brim, instead of the regular knit/purl rib I had used for the first one.

So this is the new Forest Soul hat.

I used a lighter weight yarn, which provides warmth but doesn’t make your head sweat when you wear it to the store. I took this one for a test drive today, and it might be my new favorite hat.
