A few years ago, at the end of the summer, I knit a hat for my friend’s daughter. The original was made in my backyard, on a warm day, with a cool breeze blowing. The ripple stitches in the hat reminded me of this breeze, which is how I came up with the name.
I remade the hat recently, but this time in a cool blue/green yarn. It’s comfy, warm and light enough that you hardly feel like you’re wearing it. And it still knits up like a cool summer breeze.
