Every year my husband and I try to figure out which photograph of our daughter we should include in our Christmas cards. This year, we thought we’d do something a bit different, as our last experience at JCPenney’s photo lab was not so nice. So we are sending a photo of the entire family, taken by my sister with her new digital camera.
This year we also got the biggest tree I have ever had in my life. It’s about 8 feet tall and my husband had to stand on a chair just to get the angel on top. It still doesn’t sit right but as long as it doesn’t fall off, it’s fine. The cats have been enjoying the ornaments immensely, so much so that I had to move a gingerbread man, who was made of real gingerbread, higher up the tree or else I fear he would have lost the only remaining limbs he has left. I had a goldfish ornament made from cotton balls that got chewed to death a few years back. It was not pretty.
I recently attended my 10 year high school reunion and it was a lot of fun. The music was a bit loud, so everyone had to shout, but at least it was good music. It was very weird to see everyone I had known in high school, just older. I’m glad that we finally had a reunion, since we missed our 5 year. The food was excellent, by the way.
I can’t wait till the next one.
